KCPA's Top 10 in 2018
Top #1KCPA's brand Kaleidoscope Mid-Autumn Moon Festival Gala was successfully held again on October 7th at the Living Arts Centre Hammerson Hall, the largest theatre in Mississauga. It was sponsored by Respon Financial Group. Performers from KCPA demonstrated strong vitality with a new look，which highlighted the fusion of colorful traditional Chinese dance with the multi-ethnic dance from the "Silk Road" as well as the interpretation of western style. Meanwhile, the gala displayed immigrant life, hard work and homesickness of overseas Chinese in a comprehensive singing and dancing form. Once again it presented audiences a stage feast with songs, dances, operas and instrumental music.
Top #2KCPA performers participated again in the 5th Overseas Chinese Spring Festival Gala, organized by the National Television of Canada at Sony Centre on February 15th，2018. Performances including the dance called "Picturesque Land", men's choir "You Raise Me Up", and the chorus "Spring Begins" and "My Motherland", won warm applause from audiences.
Top #3On October 12th, KCPA was invited to join in the Tsinghua Choir during the concert of Dai Yuqiang and Xu Zuli at the Roy Thomson Hall. The concert was accompanied by the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra, and the KCPA chorus performed a fine choral repertoire, "Shangri-La". They also successfully sang "Hong Yan" and "Libiamo Ne' Lieti Calici", accompanying the lead singers of Dai Yuqiang and Xu Zuli.
Top #4On September 30th, KCPA was once again invited to participate in the 2018 Toronto International Dance Festival (TIDF) held at the P.C. Ho Theatre. The sword dance "Sword and Plum Blossom" performed by our dancers was warmly welcomed by the audience!
Top #5On February 4th, KCPA was invited again to participate in the 2018 Hamilton Chinese Spring Festival Gala organized by the Sunshine Cultural Centre. We brought some excellent programs such as "Picturesque Land" and "Gathering Bliss" for the gala, which were warmly welcomed by the audience.
Top #6On August 26, KCPA held a spectacular pop-up event in a picturesque farmhouse in Uxbridge. More than 100 members got together and joined in the chorus "Shangri-La" in the form of flash mob, and performed other wonderful song-and-dance shows.
Top #7On June 2nd, KCPA participated in the annual Bread and Honey Festival in Mississauga. We performed plenty of programs, such as waist drums, Tibetan dance "Plateau" and opera dance "Waves of Dancing Sleeves", singing and dancing "Gathering Bliss", "Ballad of Southen China", and wonderful men's choir "You Raise Me Up" and "Everytime I Look at You", for thousands of multi-ethnic audiences on site, and eventually received a warm welcome from them.

Top #9On June 2nd, KCPA participated in the Markham Multi-cultural Arts Festival held by Markham Arts Council, performing song and dance programs such as "Yao Ethnic carol", "Edelweiss", "Horizon", "Walking on Wave", "Hulunbuir Prairie" and so forth.
